Research Experience for Undergraduates
2006 Program Information
The up-to-date Calendar for Summer 2006,
last updated 23 July.
A
web site has been created for copies of the speakers' slide shows.
The calendar as of 8 June has been made into a pretty
poster
by Jeannie Butler, the LEPP graphic designer.
She also has made a
"public version"
for disribution to other departments and
non-REUers.
There are several other REU programs
on campus this summer. While many of the events in them are specific to
the participants of the invidual programs, soem are REU-wide.
Travel Guidelines for 2006.
Basically unchanged from 2005, although the amounts available are
somewhat larger. We anticipate
offering local bus passes this year.
Cornell Campus Life has provided us with detailed instructions about
"getting to campus"
once you have arrived in Ithaca. Please note that check-in
for Balch Hall this summer will be at
Appel Commons,
and not at Robert Purcell Community Center!
Campus Life has also provided a "final"
Summer Program 2006 Information Sheet.
This year's dormitory is
Balch Hall, which is on the
northern portion of campus and near Beebe Lake and Fall Creek, as shown on
Cornell's
Housing and Dining Map.
Also there is the LEPP Campus Map;
it shows important dining, housing and laboratory
sites.
Here also are our
Housing and Meal Notes
for 2005; updates available in (... sorry!) May.
While these may be on the "other side" of campus, we do have a
map and list of
College Town restaurants
for your use.
The 2006
Participant's Guide is now
available.
The 2006
Summer Evaluation is
available as PDF if you wish to use a hard-copy. Please
return to Monica Wesley in 130 Newman.
