Videos from our Research

The video below shows us rolling the cold mass out of the Cornell ERL Superconducting RF Injector Cryomodule. This powerful SRF cryomodule was developed and assembled at our lab, and is now accelerating continuos wave electron beams with a world record beam current of up to 50 mA.

Videos from our SRCCS Program

During each summer, students from local community colleges participate in my NSF funded SRCCS (Summer Research for Community College Students) program at Cornell University. Find more information about this program under Outreach.

The following video was made during the summer of 2011 by Jordan Shields from the Hudson Valley Community College and by Justin Riley from the Corning Community College.

The following video was made during the summer of 2011 by Nadia Shevchuk from the Tompkins Cortland Community College and by Tim Ramos from the Mohawk Valley Community College.

The Physics Video Demonstration Database

Here are a few videos from my Physics Video Demonstration Database. These videos were taken with the assistance of an Innovation in Teaching award I received in 2007. You can find all our demonstration videos here .

Videos on Teaching

The following video discusses how an instructor can make lectures more engaging by making use of a student response system, or i>clickers. I teach large physic introduction courses at Cornell University, and use a student response system extensively during lectures. This video was recorded as part of a Teaching with Technology Showcase .
