Comparison of EvtGen and QQ for generation of psi(3770) decays to
DDbar pairs
Using the tool MCGeneratorMonProc I have compared the generated
particles
in psi(3770) decays between EvtGen and QQ for D0D0B and D+D- decays.
I have extracted the EvtGen and QQ decay tables relevant for D decays.
Plots showing the the momentum and miltiplicity distributions for a
psi(3770)->D0D0B
are available here. The plots shows EvtGen as
the solid histogram and QQ as the
hashed histogram. The same set of plots for psi(3770)->D+D- are also available.
These plots are clearly not identical; EvtGen is generating a higher
pion multiplicity
than QQ. Need to compare with data tu understand which is the optimal
tuning.
